Overview: The Product Manager is a problem solver and a relationship builder.  The Product Manager works with Executives, Engineering, and all business units to identify and understand business problems, strategic opportunities, and propose solutions that when implemented, lead to happier and new customers.  The Product Manager also gathers high level business requirements, creatively crafts and vets solutions, proposes feasible functional requirements based on in-depth business knowledge and user experience design, authors deliverables such as user stories and functional specifications, and works closely on a daily basis with Software Engineers and end users to implement and deliver new features and feature sets.  The Product Manager also owns one or many Products or feature-sets and has the authority to set priorities and strategic direction.



  • Work directly with executive management and software engineers on highly visible technology projects that have direct impact on new revenue and cost savings
  • Product ownership of specific feature-sets and functions, guiding their strategic direction and improvement with input from stakeholders
  • Participate and lead meetings with multiple stakeholders to identify and prioritize software development and business process improvement initiatives
  • Develop detailed functional specifications, user stories, visual mockups for stakeholder review
  • Gather feedback and approval from relevant stakeholders pre-development and post-development via product demonstrations
  • Ability to develop a strong understanding of key system workflows and business processes
  • Capable of identifying areas in need of improvements in efficiency, usability, and performance based on statistics, research, and intuition
  • Strong analytical, research, and creative skills
  • Identify and present innovative and creative product solutions
  • Ownership of product performance and KPIs
  • Assist in project management of all product integration/launches/changes throughout implementation.
  • Display a high level of critical thinking and problem resolution
  • Coordinate and build strong working relations with various internal organizations including; Software Development, Sales, Client Services, Legal/Compliance, and Finance/Accounting

  • Ability to build strong relationships with all internal stakeholders, from a junior associate to a senior executive
  • Strong problem solver with the ability to propose creative solutions to problems of all sizes and scope
  • A strong understanding of Web site usability, user experience, and a high level of empathy for internal and external product users
  • Must be detail-oriented, extremely organized, and have exceptional writing and communicating skills
  • Strong presentation skills to all levels of leadership with proven expertise in managing meetings, presentations, and design sessions. Includes coordination of regular project and ad-hoc meetings and working sessions
  • Ability to co-ordinate projects across a diverse group of stakeholders, both from within the organization and outside
  • Ability to learn quickly and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Operates effectively, and with a sense of possibility, in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • High sense of urgency with ability to drive results
  • An internal consultant mindset, with proven experience and mastery of this approach is essential
  • Ability to bridge communication amongst technical and non-technical project staff and stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently
  • Risk assessment, negotiation and problem resolution skills
