Overview

The Product Manager is a problem solver and a relationship builder.  The Product Manager works with Executives, Engineering, and all business units to identify and understand business problems, strategic opportunities, and propose solutions that when implemented, lead to happier and new customers.  The Product Manager also gathers high level business requirements, creatively crafts and vets solutions, proposes feasible functional requirements based on in-depth business knowledge and user experience design, authors deliverables such as user stories and functional specifications, and works closely on a daily basis with Software Engineers and end users to implement and deliver new features and feature sets.  The Product Manager also owns one or many Products or feature-sets and has the authority to set priorities and strategic direction.

What You'll Do

  • Work directly with executive management, software engineers and multiple business units on highly visible technology projects that have direct impact on new revenue and cost savings
  • Ownership of select products, guiding their strategic direction, improvement and performance
  • Develop detailed functional specifications, user stories, and visual mockups for product demonstrations and eventual product launches
  • Contribute to project management of all product integration, launch, and optimization throughout project implementation
  • Coordinate and build strong working relations with various internal organizations including; Software
  • Development, Business Development, Client Services, Legal/Compliance, and Finance/Accounting

What You Have

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • A strong understanding of website usability, user experience, and a high level of empathy for internal and external product users
  • Strong presentation skills to all levels of leadership with proven expertise in managing meetings, presentations, and design sessions.
  • An internal consultant mindset, with proven experience to operate effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Risk assessment, negotiation and problem resolution skills
  • Ability to propose creative solutions to product issues and performance
